ETTORE BILOTTA

After graduating from high school, in 1984 he began studying fashion design at the IED in Rome. From December 1984 to November 1988 he began his first collaboration as a designer in a bridal gown company, "Radiosa". In October 1988 he moved to Zurich, worked for GVL, prêt-à-porter, and in 1992 in Milan for Raffaela Curiel where he began to learn "Haute Couture". He then returned to Rome and collaborated with “Pino Lancetti”. Contacted by a buyer from the Arab world, he devoted himself to creating Haute Couture and Bridal collections for most of the 1990s and early 2000s. The experience with the Arab world allowed him to be selected in 2003 as the designer of the image of the uniforms for the first flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates, “Etihad Airways”, which began flying for the first time in November 2003. In 2004 he created his first Haute Couture collection inspired by "Jugendstil", followed by the "Nymphs", the collection dedicated to "Marie Antoinette" and then the "Water" collection. Many other collections followed, which were shown on the Roman calendar. In 2006, the first bridal gown collection “Shewhite” was presented in Milan at the industry fair "Si Sposa Italia". In 2008 he signed the restyling of the Historic Uniforms of the Guardia di Finanza. From 1999 to 2003 he taught illustration and fashion design at the IED in Rome and the Institute of Design in Naples.

In 2013 he was called back by Etihad Airways to redesign the new image of the airline's uniforms. This was followed by Alitalia in 2015, Turkish Airlines in 2017, and in 2023 Kuwait Airways. Today he designs Haute Couture collections, Bridal collections, and Prêt-à-porter.
